Join us for the Electric League's Monthly Luncheon Meeting and Networking Event, Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the Puget Sound Energy Auditorium in the Conference Center Building, 355 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue, 98004. Check-in begins at 11:30 with buffet beginning at 11:45, followed by announcements and our solar energy panelists. The meeting adjourns in the vicinity of 1:00 p.m.
Advance registration and payment is required and is being accepted now. Please assist our planning by registering early. League Members and their guests: $25; Non-League Members: $30. A late fee applies for registrations received after Tuesday, April 15.
APRIL TOPIC: "Solar Energy From Three Perspectives"
We will have three presenters at our April event and each provides a slightly different perspective. We will hear from each speaker and end with a question and answer period at the conclusion of all three presentations.
Mike Nelson: Photovoltaic Projects Specialist & Manager of the Northwest Solar Center, Washington State University Extension Energy Program Mike will address the world and Washington markets, industry trends and the State perspective. Mike is a nationally recognized solar energy proponent with over 20 years experience in PV installation technologies, development and implementation. Mike works closely with the PV advocacy community, local installers, manufacturers, utility community, and state and local governments.
Jake Wade, Program Implementer for Customer Renewable Energy and Green Power at Puget Sound Energy Jake is the point of contact at the utility for customers adding solar, wind, or micro-hydro at their home or business. Jake can speak to business strategy, interconnection requirements, and can address plans and outlook for solar energy.

David Trione, Journeyman Electrician and Owner of Sound Power Inc. since 1999 David has worked in the solar electric industry for 12 years. He will address customer profiles, permiting and installation (technical) details and issues. About 80% of Sound Power's work is photovoltaic, the rest is standard electrical work.
