Bridging the Gap Between Electrical Engineering and Electrical Safety
This workshop is intended to impart the importance of good engineering practices and how they affect electrical safety. It will show participants how Arc Flash studies, Short Circuit studies and Protective Device Coordination studies, in association with recent electrical engineering innovations, can affect their safety programs.
The speaker will demonstrate how an Arc Flash study works in affiliation with other electrical studies, as well as show EHS managers how to apply these to their own facilities. Participants will see what is involved in Electrical Engineering, as well as recent breakthroughs and innovations which can make a huge impact for worker safety. They will observe what takes place from an Electrical Engineer’s point of view when conducting Arc Flash studies and will have ample time for questions anddialogue. The presentation will also include a brief update on the changes to the currentNFPA70E-2018.
